New Orleans rapper JCoop had been writing and spitting rhymes since he was a youngster — but more recently broke out and began to share his talent with the world. As an emcee, his focus is on speed, intricate and unpredictable rhyme schemes that flow smoothly and always contain a message. “My passion for the genre stems from the rap I grew up on,” JCoop says, “I’m just keeping the intelligence and freshness in the art alive.”
