Annapolis, Maryland, based artist HEYITSLUKA took his culturally rich upbringing in Philly and developed his distinct flavor of Hip Hop. The 22-year-old is taking a (smart) page from the book of J.Cole and become a one-stop shop, crafting his music — from Instrumental to final mix — 100% on his own; as we’ve seen, this not only gives the music an edge but also ensure Luka will keep more bread in his pocket if his career takes any upswings along the way.
Self-describing as “what would happen if Logic and Eminem had a baby,” he has a stack of impressively high-quality content on deck worth checking out. His latest visual begins with text on the screen exclaiming that he is going to take that van that appears in it on a sold-out tour — lofty goals. The bars though are ripe with hungry. He has a story to tell, and if his team has it’s way, he’ll be spreading it far and wide next year.
