Jae Skeese, the first signee to Conway The Machine’s Drumwork Music imprint, is set to release his new album Ground Level on Aug. 16, 2024.
Skeese has unveiled the project’s second single, “Sara Lee,” featuring Dave East, Jay Worthy and Lloyd. The track is now available on all digital streaming platforms.
“‘Sara Lee’ is a vibe that I don’t think you haven’t got from me yet,” Skeese said. “I wanted to show another side of who I am as an artist and give the ladies something to think about.”
Ground Level boasts an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Big K.R.I.T., Sauce Walka, Project Pat, Smoke DZA, Statik Selektah, Che Noir and Ski Beatz, among others.
The album follows Skeese’s Drumwork debut Abolished Uncertainties (2023) and his collaborative project with Conway The Machine, Pain Provided Profit.
“Ground Level is me taking the next step from coming up out of the basement and building on top of the foundation I have been laying the last three years,” Skeese explained. “Everyone has a starting point, whether you are a med school student, an NFL prospect, or a manager at Dunkin Donuts.”
The album’s lead single, “Situated,” featuring Big K.R.I.T. and Sauce Walka, was released earlier with an accompanying video.
