Hip-hop legend Rakim has released his first project in 15 years, G.O.D.’S NETWORK (REB7RTH), showcasing his skills both as an emcee and producer.

The album, available now on all major digital platforms, marks a new chapter for the artist widely regarded as one of hip-hop’s greatest lyricists.

“I feel like the battery in my back has been reenergized,” Rakim said about the project, which comes nearly four decades after his classic debut with Eric B., “Paid In Full.”

While Rakim has produced tracks in the past, including “Don’t Sweat the Technique” and “Juice (Know The Ledge),” this album represents a more comprehensive foray into production.

The project features collaborations with a roster of hip-hop luminaries, including the late Nipsey Hussle, DMX, and Prodigy of Mobb Deep. Other guest appearances include Snoop Dogg, Method Man, and Kool G. Rap.

“Be Ill,” the album’s first single, pairs Rakim’s production with guest verses from Kurupt and Masta Killa. Other standout tracks include the soulful “Love Is The Message” featuring Nipsey Hussle and Snoop Dogg, and the hard-hitting “International” with Kool G. Rap, Tristate, and Joell Ortiz.

Physical copies of the album, including vinyl, cassettes, and CDs, are available for pre-order through RRC Music, with shipping set for Sept. 20, 2024. An alternate cover edition and merchandise bundles can be purchased via RakimPresents.com.
