Legendary hip-hop producer DJ Premier continues his impressive streak of collaborations with the release of “Ya Don’t Stop,” featuring Lil Wayne, Rick Ross and Big Sean.
The new single, available now on all digital streaming platforms, showcases Premier’s signature production style, blending a “cyclone of strings” with the distinctive flows of three of rap’s most influential voices.
Premier’s recent run of releases began in late 2023, featuring collaborations with artists including Common, Russ, Snoop Dogg, Chance The Rapper and Nas. In April, Premier and Nas announced their long-awaited collaborative album, set to drop later this year.
“I’ve been on a run, and releasing singles more consistently,” Premier said. “I had an idea and wanted to initially get Wayne and Ross on the same track.”
The producer noted that Ross sent back vocals the same day he reached out, while Wayne returned two sets of vocals overnight. Big Sean, who had initially contacted Premier for a scratch hook, also joined the track.
“Cypher complete!” Premier declared.
