New Orleans, Louisiana, rapper Damond Young, just shared some fresh visuals for his record “Ahead Of Time.” Diamond came up all across the city, drawing inspiration from sources like New Orleans’ second line jazz tradition to the world famous Cash Money and No Limit Records. Since emerging on the scene in the wake of Hurricane Katrina [and following the release of HOW 2 GRIND VOL. 2], he’s released 4 full-length mixtapes, 2 studio albums, and had a regional tour currently in development — all without any label or beneficiary.
The video, which is the title-track of his 2014 groundbreaking release. The projects first single/visual break 300k views on You-Tube, and his most recent visual, “Love,” cracked a million. With well over 100k plays thus far in just a few weeks, it looks like Damond is well on his way to breaking that record. Check out the latest video, and keep an eye on this NO upstart.
