Vibes In the City Weekly Roundup

Vibes in The City hit it’s Jordan year, or shall we say Jordan week last Wednesday night at LaRouge Lounge. The local showcase hit its 23-week mark! A huge accomplishment, so congrats to them! So this week’s Weekly Round Up isn’t interviews of artists, but instead a quick recap of the night and my thoughts about Vibes In the City this far.

As usual, Vibes In the City did not disappoint with the number of acts that rolled through. Along with the three featured acts of the night. Performances were given by artists such as Big Quas, Dez from the Bricks and Nomad Night just to name a few. Performer Sean Battle switched things up a little; he recited an original spoken word poem. The band once again out did themselves with their amazing skills. One of the best performers of the night was rapper PunchL!ne, he had an incredible amount of energy and was very entertaining to watch, definitely an artist to be on the watch for.

Featured artist and Vibes In the City supporter, Tall Bandz during a break in his performance took the time to express his appreciation for this opportunity. By saying that he receives a lot of love every time he comes out to perform. That comment hit a soft spot because I know I say this a million times, but Vibes In the City isn’t just your typical talent showcase. The genuine support for the artists from other artists and audience members is awesome to see. People come out for the good vibes and a good time.

It’s a chance for others to make a connection in hopes of propelling each other the top. It is creating — as well as bringing — together a community. And who could be mad at that?
So if you’re down for nothing but good vibes, good time and good music, this Wednesday check out Vibes In the City at LaRouge Lounge. I promise you won’t be disappointed.
