Damond Young based out of New Orleans. A blend of explosive youthful energy and lyrical versatility, Damond has quickly gone from surprise prodigy to industry prospect; he’s becoming one of the most exciting independent acts to emerge in New Orleans.He grew up all across the city, from the 7th Ward, St. Bernard, and New Orleans East to the esteemed areas of Fontainebleau, Uptown, and Tulane University, bringing a wide range of experiences into his music.His flow is melodic and universal, but he’s never applied himself exclusively towards the traditional club sound. Instead, he prefers to reflect and grow from lessons learned from a misspent youth, visions of the life he dreams of, and the journey of an independent artist.
Damond Young is skipping down the road to the riches; his accomplishments so far reflect his grind. With no record deal or benefactor, He’s already released three full-length mixtapes and one studio album, with more — and regional tour — currently in development.
