Spanish Harlem Royal Bodega Bamz Drops ‘El Camino’ LP

Bodega Bamz is never far from the bag — or the mic. The Spanish Harlem royal, fresh off last summer’s Yams Heard This, is back with a new project titled El Camino

He’s keeping his foot on the gas to make sure heads don’t forget he’s the H.P.I.C. (Head Papi In Charge).

The album (sitting at 11 tracks) has a lot of shiny spots worth giving a spin. Things kick off with a barrage of bars over the Navi Beats produced letter to his music career, “Dear Music.” The Isaac Hayes sample flip here is gorgeous. Navi Beats also comes through with another doped sampled joint, “Big Shot,” where Bamz bops effortlessly over an Alain Goraguer chopf

Johnboy Beats laces the lead single “The King” with a familiar loop (made NYC infamous by Lord Tariq & Peter Gunz). The LP is dripping with an unmistakable New York Flavor — verbally orchestrated with Bamz trademark Spanglish swag.
