Artist-producer BLK ODYSSY drops his third studio album, ‘1-800-FANTASY,’ via EARTHCHILD/EMPIRE. The 13-track project fuses alternative hip-hop, funk rock, progressive pop, R&B, and indie elements.

The concept album narrates a teenage boy’s obsession with an elusive woman, told through hotline exchanges and a series of music videos. BLK ODYSSY describes the album as “exciting and liberating,” likening it to a collaboration between Paramore, Blink 182, and OutKast.

“Gemini,” featuring Jackie Giroux, serves as the focus track, exploring themes of infatuation and rejection.

This release follows collaborations with Joey Bada$$ and Wiz Khalifa, and a performance on COLORS. BLK ODYSSY’s work has garnered praise from Afropunk and Complex, with the artist recently paying tribute to Bootsy Collins at the 2024 Black Music Honors.

BLK ODYSSY will support the album with “The Fantasy House” tour across North America and Europe, starting August 31 in Austin. He’s also set to perform at South Africa’s Rocking With the Daisies festival in October.

The artist’s previous albums, ‘BLK VINTAGE’ and ‘DIAMONDS & FREAKS,’ received critical acclaim for their genre-defying approach and socio-political themes.
