Aspiring Hip Hop artist–and producer -from Hood River, Oregon, Bryan Kelly (RealKells), arrived in America at the young age of 14 from the Philippines. A one time Biology Major, he made the switch to Music Technology, and after an internship at OWN Network as a sound technician, and a diploma in a field he loves, he’s now pursuing his first–music. “As hard as it is to put my materials out there, I know that it will be a long process
that could hopefully be worthwhile,” he says talking about his journey in the industry.

His influences walk the line between contemporary and old school hip-hop, with acts like Nas, Talib Kweli, Common, and A Tribe Called Quest–who recently topped Billboard with their first album in 20 years–topping his personal list of go-to figures in the game. With a focus on vocals, and a jazzy, almost neo-soul, vibe about him, he’s headed in the right direction. Check out his latest record, “Got To,” below.
