Q&A With the Hebrew Boyz

Songwriter, producer, Shar Shal Nagayanah, from New Haven, CT, and Nagayanah Gabar, from Queens, New York, share a lot of similarities. They both got into music at a young age, they both grew up in the church, and they both have tremendous work ethic. Collectively, know as the Hebrew Boys, they’re a gospel rap outfit that is making some noise on the scene.

They share a vision of vision is to spread the true gospel throughout the world, bringing a real understanding of The Bible to the industry of gospel music, and touching many people’s lives through their artistry. They recently took a few minutes to answer our AAHIPHOP Q&A. Take a listen to their latest music, and check the short interview below.

When did you guys get involved in music?

We got involved in Music when we were young at ages 9 & 11.

Who are your musical influences?

Our Musical Influences are Nas, Tupac, Lauren Hill, & The Roots (old school), Bizzle, KJ52, Flame, & No Malice
(modern day).

What are you currently working on? How would you describe your sound?

We are currently Recording Music for our upcoming EP “The Gathering” Anticipating Release For This Summer. Our Sound is Gospel Rap or Hip Hop with High Energy,
Anthem & Melodic Tones.

What’s your ultimate goal in the industry?

To bring Truth Music to all ears willing to hear our Message.
We want people to become wiser, more educated, edified, & awakened when listening to our Music.

Would you guys consider pursuing a recording contract?

Being Independent is the most comfortable solution for our career goals, but we would consider signing to a major if all contract guidelines do not compromise our faith and sound.

what should we be on the lookout for from you guys?

Look forward to us releasing more music, solo projects, music videos, short movies, & promo media in the
near future.
