Upcoming artist from Michigan is beginning to gain a fan base–his on-record love of smoking pot and parties, and his self-described “trippy behavior with swag” has earned him a commendable Instagram following; it’s not too surprising. He’s young and–sonically–has a sound that closely resembles MADEINTYO mashed with a Wiz Khalifa level of marijuana/drug love. His most recent release, Welcome To The HotBox EP, is a surprisingly stable ten-song release, packed tightly with smoker friendly riding music. While it doesn’t stray too far from its contemporary aesthetic that does a great job of fitting the mold of 2016, it does have some moment that works really well, like the moody “They Be Like,” or the West Coast vibrations of “Assistance.”
He’s still mad young–but seems to have a good idea of the idea he’s trying to get across, and the overall aesthetic he’s after. Roll up, light up, and knock around this new 4:20 staple. Oh, and check his latest visual.
