Summer may be coming to an end, but we’re still delivering the heat with our Fire Friday Playlist! This week, social media rap sensation Young Ma and XXL Freshman 21 Savage make an appearance on the playlist. With new fresh, young faces entering the music scene, hip hop’s sound is changing. This week’s playlist reflects that change with each track. We’re always open to music submissions and suggestions! So feel free to mention us on Twitter at (@AboveAverageHH).

Young M.A – OOOUU

You can thank Brooklyn Native for the trending lyric “You call her Stephanie, I call her Headphanie!” With its ubiquitous sound, “OOUUU” is appropriate for just about any environment. From being blasted at ungodly levels in the car to a swanky New York City nightclub.

Mayzin – LA Girls

My only complaint with LA Girls is that it should have been dropped during the peak of Summer instead of its dying days. LA Girls stays true to the city’s name with vibrant, bright production and Mayzin delivers personal observations of the bright-eyed, shallow females that call Los Angeles home.

21 Savage feat. Future – X

“X” ignites the inner savage you never knew you had. 21 Savage brags about flexin’ on his “X” bitch while letting it be known that when you work as hard as him…well your money starts expanding. Blessed with a feature from Future “X” is lit.

Courtlin Jabrae – No Shopping (Remix)

Jabrae bodies the French Montana and Drake assisted track. From delivery to wordplay, Courtlin is 100% on point. Jabraecompletely turns “No Shopping” into his own and in my opinion, the Illinois native is claiming his territory in the rap game. He’s up next folks.

Lyquin feat Shy Glizzy – Benefits

Fresh off the heels of the DJ Drama-produced single “Wishing”, Lyquin shows no signs of slowing down. Lyquin delivers rather calm yet shamelessly boastful lyrics about the rewards of his hard work. Shy Glizzy’s appearance compliments and completes the LG production.
