Get to know Derrell “J- Nyce” Robinson, straight outta Fayetteville, North Carolina. A Computer Engineering major, J-Nyce got his start in the music – interestingly enough – after watching Kris Kross’s video for their game-changing single “Jump Jump” in the early 90’s. After that, he picked up the pen, and it was a wrap.
His current project, The Lyrical Mind of J-Nyce Unleashed, is a blend of pain, mistruths, integrity, and sacrifice for the love of hip-hop. He puts a lot of himself into these tracks, and it comes through. He notes that fans are his biggest motivation to create masterpieces – and he wants to leave them all with a positive takeaway. The production on this project it very current, almost popish at times, but his bars never stray from realness.
