Ahki Stephen Lynch, better known as DJ Agent M, is a UK-based hip hop DJ, producer, and a member of the Universal Zulu Nation. He currently produces for two labels, Invizible Circle Records and Ftrsndmtrx (Future Sound Matrix). His latest release, The Uncanny EP, is a four-song project full of hard-hitting hip-hop, dripping with 90’s aesthetic — and motivation for your summertime movements.
“Reveal” is a throwback to the Golden Era of hip hop. With hard hitting rhymes and tight vocal delivery, rapper B.T.I. shows us why he songwriting as a hip, hop pioneer. “Maybe Sometimes” is a soulful, radio friendly track described as Reggae meets Hip-Hop with Daddy Speedo creating a window into his world of song writing. Acclaimed film producer by day and Hip Hop MC by night, Marcus Lee, tells the story of a young male caught in the wrong place at the wrong time on “4 AM”. Lastly, on “Some Day Soon,” J Bravo and Soul singer Lara Rose address the subject of accountability and facing the consequences of our actions.
I’m a little cloudy on the comic-book connection here, but from the snippets available on his SoundCloud, it’s definitely a project to check for. The project drops on the 24th [everywhere you buy music] exclusively through Invizible Circle Records.
