NJ-based rap outfit Young Gifted represent the “golden age” of hip-hop. When hip-hop was in its infancy – roughly 42 years ago – it was all about the culture and its movement. This is a sentiment that has since shifted to an overwhelming, and often frenzied, obsession with the almighty dollar. Young Gifted is staying true to the roots of the culture while exploring a more modern sound and aesthetic.
