West Coast Rapper Y-Dresta Teams Up With Kokane, Mc Eiht, And Michael Watts

Y-Dresta — an independent artist from Sacramento, California — is definitely making some power moves. A talented songwriter, he’s currently working on his untitled EP, which is set to drop January 2017. This is the 1st single off the EP is “Wild West,” a huge West Coast collaborative record with Kokane and Mc Eiht. Kokane is a coastal legend who started his career with Ruthless Records in the 80s, co-writing songs for N.W.A and Above the Law. MC Eiht, who was a member of Compton’s Most Wanted — and had a long widely publicized beef with DJ Quik, is also a West Coast gangsta rap staple, having appeared in the classic film “Menace To Society.” The record is huge for the region, but also for Y-Dresta.

Today, he dropped an official Swishahouse Remix chopped up by Michael “5000” Watts. With a track record that includes work with other acts like Bizzy Bone of Bone Thugs N Harmony, Spice 1 — and more — Y-Dresta is an artist to keep an eye and ear on. Check out both versions of the record below.
