Grammy Award-winning producer Salaam Remi has had an almost unparalleled career spanning three decades–crafting hits for acts like Nas, The Fugees, Alicia Keys and many more (most notably discovering the late Amy Winehouse). His latest outing, though, is in the world of visual arts via his gallery space/brand, MuseZeuM.
Last week, he unveiled MuseZeuM’s current collection at a four-day New York City’s Lower East Side pop-up event. The pop-up featured art pieces of Bob Marley, Nas, Marvin Gaye, Slick Rick, Fab 5 Freddy, Amy Winehouse, Celia Cruz and Dennis Brown among others. Notable guests during the opening included Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, Black Thought, Large Professor, and other musicians and industry insiders.
MuseZeuM, a space for tangible fine art, limited edition merchandise, and Web3 digital collectibles, was created and curated by Remi, who notes, “MuseZeuM will be an ongoing home for creatives to showcase their works.” MuseZeuM headquarters is open in Miami, Florida, Salaam is also launching a concert series named “Midnight at MuseZeum,” which Rakim will open on April 22 in Miami Beach Bandshell.
