We all fall in love with catchy hooks, and mind-blowing bars that makes us run to twitter–ready to quote. However, most times we are guilty of neglecting the masterminds behind those 808’s and euphoric sounds that get our heads nodding and bodies moving. It’s time we started paying more homage to those producers out there — the ones who stay in the studio for hours upon days creating the perfect fusion of beats and sounds, that an artist can breathe new life into. Any artist can write lyrics to a track, but I guarantee with the right beat from a great producer, that song will automatically make waves and come alive. With having said a mouth full, I have to share a producer that I’ve appreciated from way back when–TaulibTheGod, and his recent project Prelude Beat Tape.
TaulibTheGod, 1/2 of The Generals production duo, is a young Afro-Asian producer from north New Jersey. Having recently taken a solo journey to fulfill his musical needs, TaulibTheGod has manifested into a collection of four beats that truly represent who he is, outside of a duo. Prelude Beat Tape features beats ranging from Trap, Pop, HipHop, to R&B (something for everyone). The main thing about TaulibTheGod that has always interested me, is his ability to create such an eclectic collection of tracks that any artist can write to, easily. Gifted with an ear for sound, he has already re-created a plethora of popular songs with his production mate, gaining thousands of views on YouTube and SoundCloud alike. Prelude Beat Tape is sure to paint a more passionate side of who this producer really is as a creator.
Reminiscent of a early Pharrell during the NERD wave, TaulibTheGod shows his authenticity through his love of music, and pure genius of fusing instruments and sounds together. He has a way with molding his beats to fit certain artists’ sound — like a glove. Having already produced for many talents across the country, ranging from L.A. to N.Y.C, to Jersey and always holding down his home team NasaxInfinity, TaulibTheGod has marked this project as the beginning of many endeavors ahead.
