Westside Boogie Unveils New 3-Pack EP ‘Live at The Novo’ Featuring His Alter Egos

Westside Boogie has just released a new 3-pack EP titled Live at The Novo, featuring three singles: “Cold As Love,” “Tell Me,” and “Mood.” Each song is inspired by one of Boogie’s alter egos – Anthony, Ratchet Boog and Superblood Boog, respectively. The EP can be streamed via Shady Records/Interscope Records. Ahead of his biggest show to date at the Novo in L.A. on March 16, this project showcases Boogie’s brilliance as a storyteller, sharing both vulnerable and defiant vignettes from his everyday life.

The EP begins with “Cold As Love,” a cerebral track inspired by Superblood Boog. Boasting a head-nodding groove that Boogie rides with his signature cool, the song highlights the importance of not holding grudges and learning from mistakes. Boogie then switches gears with the harder-hitting and more upbeat “Tell Me” (inspired by Anthony) and “Mood” (inspired by Ratchet Boog), showcasing his silky flow and nimble wordplay.

The surprise 3-pack comes on the heels of the Westside Boogie MORE BLACK SUPERHEROES deluxe album release and highly anticipated NPR Tiny Desk performance. In an Instagram post, Boogie described the album as an ode to embracing our powers and for those who have survived trials and feel boxed by the world. He ended positively, expressing love and the desire to heal together.
