SWAGGONAHUNNA — STP

Straight out of Flatbush, Brooklyn, comes young rapper SWAGGONAHUNNA. He’s quick to point to Gucci Mane as the main source of his inspiration; “[his] work ethic motivates me. I tip my hat to that guy for giving me this drive to succeed. His drive seems to be more focused than ever, having recently finished college where he plays ball (for the past six years). Much like his idol, he is quick to hit the booth sans pen or pencil, and simply lay down his verses. I just go in, he says confidently. The young upstart’s latest record, “STP,” is a barrel roll upon the bass-fueled pseudo-trap wave currently sweeping through the big apple. He has his flow and vibe about him; it almost puts us in the mind of 90’s southern rap mashed with a more youthful NYC sensibility about it.

The visuals are coherent and high quality, offering insight into just how serious he is. He has a slew of new material dropping — but for now, take in his latest mixtape, Ya Gurl Bestfriend 2, and scope out the latest video.
