Silas Takes Us On A Ride Through Provincetown With His ZeZe Freestyle

Silas of The BuLife gives “ZeZe” new life.

Over the subtle steel drum/Caribbean tinge of Kodak Black’s seminal hit-record ZeZe, BuLife member Silas — an author, filmmaker, and activist —drops an endearingly unorthodox holiday freestyle while taking us through what looks like a frosty waterside journey through his hometown of Provincetown, Massachusetts.

His offkiltered flow, that manages to still ride the beat like a well-tuned Harley is reminiscent of vintage Freestyle Fellowship, or even Digable Planets. It definitely gives new life/perspective to the industry instrumental.

The BuLife have earned themselves some regional buzz with their brand of transparent Hip Hop found across their discography of  full-length mixtapes — all exemplifying their slogan “Be. You. Life”.
