Denver-born drummer, music producer, dancer, actor, and emcee, SF1 and his band have been making a name for themselves as of late. From sharing stages with artists like KRS-One, Jurassic 5, Lupe Fiasco — and more — nationwide [college] and iHeart radio spins, and over 18k units of the latest single pushed online, “#Autopilot,” SF1 is on a steady incline. In fact, the success of the single mentioned above prompted Grammy consideration; that’s amidst a host of other nods. He (SF1) has nominations with Westword Magazine, was chosen as one of KUSA 9 News’ “5 Colorado Bands to Check Out,” and was named “Colorado’s Next Break Out Band” by Next Big Sound. Impressive. His band consists of — aside from himself (SF1 born Shane Franklin) — vocalists The KandyMan Himself, the super cute Julie Almeria, Jason Martin (Drums), Aaron Templer (Percussion), and dancer Ninan Ariani.
With an almost Black Eyed Peas-esque rock-infused vibe, #Autopilot has a get live for the night aura and an infectious vibe — it’s easy to see it’s appeal.
