Ronin Gray – BLACK COFFEE

“Gangster, Gangster, tell me what they yellin’, there ain’t no love for these two-time felons.”
— Ronin Gray

Los Angeles, California, based rapper Ronin Gray is no stranger to us here at AAHIPHOP. His single “I Can Fly” appeared on our last compilation, and we ran an exclusive interview with him last November. Unlike many artists who talk that street talk, Ronin lived that life; he spent time locked up and uses his music as a platform to express the realities of street life.

We wanted to share with you his latest single/visual, “BLACK COFFEE,”
featuring E.R, Young Meta, and Brizzle Man. The video delivers the quality we’ve come to expect from Ronin; it’s a vibrant walk through the ‘hood,’ interspersed with the guys politicking while enjoying their favorite drink in the hood at their local donut shop/cafe. The song’s chorus also makes reference to the recently retired Black Mamba, Kobe Bryant: “I’m dippin’ corners, Kobe Bryant, spinnin’ rimmed up…” Loaded with big bars, dope cinematography, and some sexy eye candy, the song, and video, don’t disappoint.

Give it a spin — and if you missed it, check out our interview with Ronin here.
