Ponzo Houdini Drops Controlled Substance Mixtape

The rapper, songwriter, entertainer and Cake Boss Life Entertainment CEO, Ponzo Houdini, was influenced–among other things–by the streets. He was a drug dealer in Buffalo, New York until he was charged and spent two years upstate. While incarcerated, he came up with a plan to live his street fantasy through music; that’s when he came up with the idea to start his label.

After his release in May of 2013, he started the label [Cake Boss Life Entertainment] and to date has released several mixtapes and collaborated with national recording artists such as Oj Da Juiceman. He’s also performed with acts like Skippa Da Flippa, Rich the Kid, and Future (on the Purple Reign Tour). Recently, Ponzo was offered a recording deal with Atlantic Records; however, he turned down the major label, preferring to stay independent and tour with his label mates to build a worldwide fan base.

His latest mixtape, Controlled Substance, is out now on his official SoundCloud–stream that below. If you’re feeling it knock on the share button.
