Sneakerheads, take note, here’s the latest on the upcoming releases for Jordans this Spring 2016. Kicking things off, there will be two revamped versions of the throwback “Alternate” collection. Originally samples from the 80s and 90s, these picks have a distinct, classic feel. The pack mixes the signature color blocking of black, red and white from the Chicago Bulls to create a modern collection.
The first big release of Jordan Brand 2016, the Air Jordan 4 Retro “Alternate 89” hit shelves recently, a clean pair of kicks featuring a stand out red and white design. Wear with khakis and a clean white tee for a casual look. The Air Jordan 2 Retro “Alternate 87” drops on January 9th, boasting a sleek high top style with mixed textures of nubuck and snakeskin. A low counterpart, the Air Jordan 5 Low Retro “Alternate 90” follows closely after, dropping on January 30th. Fans will appreciate the extra details, such as the reflective tongue, red accents inside and out and the ever present Jumpman branding.
Rounding out the month, the Air Jordan 12 Retro “The Master” drops February 27th. With a bold, retro 90s design, this all black pair of kicks has a classic feel. Constructed from luxe black leather, the design features gold eyelets and subtle accents of white and grey along the sides. Team with jeans and a button up for an easy, go to look. Jordan Brand originally announced the full lineup last July, and the anticipation has been building ever since. Take a look at the photos behind the cut.
The Air Jordan 2 “Wing It” is bound to be a top pick, part of the iconic “Poster” collection to be released this Spring 2016. Classic and cool, this fresh pair of kicks contrasts an all-over white leather design with touches of black lining around the midsole and lacing. Pick up a pair for yourself on March 5th. Inspired by a throwback Jordan poster from 1986, the design of these kicks includes the phrase “WING IT” on the heel tabs as an added touch. Pair with denim and a crisp tee for a fresh look that’s equally low key.
The Dunk From Above collection pays homage to all things vertical, capturing a theme of soaring and Michael Jordan’s iconic hangtime. The Air Jordan 4 “Dunk From Above” debuts on March 19th, an edgy colorway of midnight blue with bold yellow contrast. Peep classic gum bottoms and the extra metallic gold added to the Jumpman logo featured on the tongue. You’ve seen all the upcoming releases, now which ones are you going to cop?
