As hip-hop culture celebrates #HipHop50, one of its female rap legends reminds us that she is a staple among female rap artists.

On March 2nd, Monie Love guest appeared at the curated De la Soul career catalog launch and Plug 2 Tribute event held at Webster Hall in NYC and sponsored by Amazon Music.

Reuniting with the Native Tongue family at the event, Monie performed an impromptu segment of the classic song “Ladies First” with Queen Latifah and shared her exuberant energy while on the stage with De La Soul as they ran through a few of their classic songs.

Monie Love is working diligently on her new project #LoveStruck, executive produced by Baby Paul/BpZy, formerly of “Da Beatminerz” with pending collaborations from a few legends and new talent to watch out for.

Monie has 2 current single releases from the project – “Divine” featuring Brooklyn legend, Skyzoo and Introducing Philly native Mally Tuff, and “1NE People” ft. Nana Fofie (an up-and-coming recording artist from overseas who just recently signed to female rap star Nicki Minaj’s new music label).

Both of Monie Love’s single releases and music videos are available NOW on all platforms!
