23-year-old artist Meyer Lanskey is taking a page from acts like J.Cole and keeping the bag for himself; the Malmoe, Nebraska, native is fully self-produced, and the results are dope. His latest mixtape, Gelato — which is actually more of an EP — is a great showcase of what Meyer is going to give the world on his next tape, Anti-Social.
A frequent collaborator with artist Marv — also from Malmoe — Meyer shows off his range with this teaser project, riding a few waves that are currently engulfing the game. He also switches over to a soulful almost Just Blaze-esque soulfulness on the track “Midnight Visions,” which was a standout after two cover to cover listens.
