Detroit-born, Miami native, Major is on a crusade to live up to his name. His breakthrough came when [notable] Miami promoter Carlos Saavedra caught wind of his debut mixtape, I’m So Major. Through Carlos, Major connected with artists such as Jowell & Randy and performed on some of Miami’s hottest night club stages, from Karu & Y, Club Space, to Nocturnal. To date, he’s has opened for major (no pun intended) artists like Wiz Khalifa, performed with Twista, Mystikal, and Big Sean — to name a few.
Major’s debut received heavy praise from several hip-hop sites — and set the stage for his sophomore release. His new record, which is dripping with quality, could be the stepping stone towards the plateau he’s trying to reach. “The concept behind the song is that It’s a mindset; it’s a thought process,” Major explains. “You have to visualize something before you can do it and when your doing it. So the song summarizes this and my journey from when I was a kid to an adult.”
