From Motown vibrations to airy 80s New Jack Swing era inspired jams, Major D-Star keeps on proving that his super wavy Motown Sound LP — hosted by DJ Rock Steady is the gift that keeps on giving (bangers). He brings “Dream Come True” and “Messing With A Freak” to life with an impressively high-quality visual treatment that is making us want to go back and revisit his whole tape.

Both produced by Don Juan, the video’s first half is dripping in old-school aesthetic — from the Adidas tracksuit and bucket hat to the VHS treatment on the title card; the second half is a back at the crib vibe that sees him getting cozier with the attractive female lead. Major has a habit of putting quality though, which has kept him on our radar for the past few years.
There is no word if we’ll be getting more visual snacks from the LP, but a new project titled Trap Star, is rumored to be on the horizon. As singles, these songs are potent enough to keep you floating on those hot summer nights in the whip until the new project hits the streets.
