Loopwhole Beats — Only in AmeriKKKa

New York is the home to thousands of rappers, lyricists, and street toughs who can flow; usually coming from Brooklyn, Queens, and or Harlem. Straight from the east side of midtown Manhattan, Loopwhole Beats [also known as Mr. Sp1200] has kept the NYC flavor alive on his latest project, Only in AmeriKKKa. He teams up with Harlem’s very own EastKoast, an MC who was mentored by the late great Lisa Left Eye Lopez. It’s 12 tracks of E-mu Systems and SP1200 sampling that rejuvenates New Yorkers to stand up. Time to represent that sound — and leave all that other stuff for the other regions.

There’s an Alchemist/Infamous Mobb influence on records like “Came II Far.” From “S.N.I.T.C.H,” down to “Loop’s Presentation,” this project is gift wrapped tightly with the smell of train stations, hot dogs, and Hennessy — this is for The City. There are only two features: King Malachi from the Dungeon Family, and Eloh Kush, who are faithful to the craft of Hip Hop. The project is slated for a June 30th release, which will coincidentally spark up barbershop conversation among the 32+ crowd about East Coast Rap buzzing on the underground.
