King Solo – I Want You [Audio]

“Everybody saying that I went Hollywood.”
—King Solo

Solomon Zeon, professionally known as King Solo, is taking his brand of hip-pop [a playful blend of hip-hop and pop] to the next level. He’d been enjoying some well-deserved attention after the success of his record “Hollywood,” which sonically resembles Drake’s “Successful.” With a cadence that’s vaguely reminiscent of Bryson Tiller with a dash of Tim Vocals, the track was a new dawn for the young artist; it served as both a cocky declaration of his status and a preview of what’s to come. He’s taken steps to keep the momentum rolling and has released some new records on his Soundcloud — one of which is the danceable banger, “I Want You.”

The Philly-born, Delco-native, seems to have a good ear for production, and a mean pen game to match. With his new endorsements and allegiances he’s formed — notably that of The Royal Family — it’s likely we’ll be seeing some great material coming down the pipe. For now, check out “I Want You,” and the visual treatment for “Hollywood.”
