Incarcerated Atlanta Rapper Ralo Chronicles Journey of Resilience in ’97 Months’ Album

Atlanta rap artist Ralo’s latest project, 97 Months, chronicles his experiences since in prison, following a 2022 sentence stemming from 2018 drug conspiracy charges. The album features guest appearances from Jadakiss, Rotimi, Rowdy Rebel, Hunxho and Derez De’Shon.

97 Months was recorded entirely through a phone via prison; it paints a picture of perseverance and relatability to anyone navigating circumstances of adversity.

“It’s an important 97 months that I’ve done – away from my family, my kids, my fiancée and from my freedom itself, and it highlights that I’ve been able to grow within that time,” says Ralo. The album follows his 2021 debut project release entitled Political Prisoner.
