You may remember we wrote about rapper Leroy Brown, who was a one-time collaborator with A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie; perhaps he even had a bigger hand than we know about behind the scenes. We came up with another story, though, while digging around. He, along with producer Cornut, was [allegedly] beat jacked by NBA YoungBoy—also professionally known as YoungBoy Never Broke Again.
The rapper, who’s 38 Baby mixtape dropped last October, featuring Kevin Gates, Boogie, and more, has risen to become one of rap’s brightest young talents; however, that may be in jeopardy. He was arrested in Texas before a gig last year and is currently locked up and being charged with two counts of attempted first-degree murder and being held on $200,000 bond. The charges, though, could land him in jail for life.
I digress; as I mentioned, we stumbled upon the fact that NBA’s record, “Until Then,” actually jacked the Cornut-produced instrumental for Leroy Brown’s record, “Shooting To The Stars,” that appeared on his Ego Trippin’ mixtape. Further, he never acknowledges either of them nor credits the producer for the record, which to date has received well over 500k spins on YouTube alone.
