24-year old Edgar, Louisiana, rapper T.Nate has been building a healthy buzz with his new single “You Kneaux Dat,” which recently popped up on numerous sites, including the famed World Star Hip-Hop, where it racked up 50k plus spins quickly. The track is just another. Itch under the young rappers belt, though. Under the umbrella of his imprint, Fresh and Blessed, he’s released two [arguably] successful mixtapes and collaborated with the likes of G-Unit’s Kidd Kidd and the late Lil’ Snupe. He’s also performed in front of crowds at House of Blues in New Orleans, Louisiana and Dallas, Texas; the Dia De Loso Festival in Waco, Texas and at the SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas.
Having started rhyming at the tender age of 11, T.Nate has been through a lot of real life shit; he’s put a tremendous amount of blood sweat and tears into his career. His strength lies in his drive and his circle — in fact, his second mixtape which dropped in 2015 was dedicated to the people that had supported him throughout the years.
He has an approachable demeanor about him, with a big smile not unlike Cassidy, Ma$e, and the young Bobby Schmurda who was recently sentenced to 7 years. The visuals for “You Kneaux Dat,” though, is a stark reminder not to get it twisted. His circle is thick. The song has a catchy vibe — and deserves a spot on your playlist this weekend. Give it a spin below, and if you’re feeling it, you know what to do! You can also cop it here.
