Strats — a 22-year-old artist from Zebulon, North Carolina — is destined for greatness. After moving to Atlanta in 2006, he was invigorated, and more driven than ever to chase his dreams of making it in the music industry. The thing is, though, a listen to his music makes his dreams seem realistic. His latest record, “No Options,” is a radio-ready summer banger, that seems like a sonic blend of a sing-song, catchy chorus, and an instrumental that we can easily picture someone of Tory Lanez or Bryson Tiller caliber attacking. Young Strats holds his own, no question.
The track is at once a love song and a hustler’s anthem — expressing the hopeless, almost alienating nature of a street lifestyle. Its’ a must spin this 4th of July weekend.
