This is a sentiment echoed by rising, hip-hop artist, Souleye on his latest single, “Labeled,” off of his super-fresh album Shapeshifting. The talented lyricist incorporates positivity and consciousness into his rhymes and effortlessly joins old-school hip hop with trip-hop. With this new single, Souleye motivates listeners to filter their thoughts to reduce negativity and judgement; it’s an admirable plea in a sea of click bait and a gang of rappers bombarding us everyday. Do like the song says, give the kid a chance.
