Baltimore, Maryland, singer City Da Don has overcome a lot for his craft. Having lost his parents, spent 5 years in prison, and lost his brother in the streets, he vowed to make something positive out of his life; it was later in 2012 that he not only graduated with honors but found his true purpose — music. His life experiences and authenticity have helped him build up his regional buzz. Balancing this ethos of a gangster with the relaxed sensibility of a ladies man, his music has a relatable, audible edge.
His new project One Me is poised to be his breakout — and his latest single “U Got It” featuring J Solow — is an impressive look at the potential that heads should look out for. Flanked by gorgeous women, and smoking a cigar, the visual is definitely a great first impression.
