It seems like rapper Reuben X is becoming a regular here on AAHIPHOP — Well, the Cincinnati rapper back with a monster track. As a preface, Reuben has been through a lot of adversity in his life like homelessness, living months without lights, serious injuries, losing relationships – and things like that – which have allowed him to appreciate overcoming those tragedies to be triumphant. He was also picked up by the Cincinnati Bengals back in the day for their rookie mini-camp before an injury led him to solely pursue music. All of these things have helped to shape the winning spirit he exudes in all of his tracks. Keeping in line with the subject matter of his previous single “Refuse 2 Lose,” where he confidently proclaimed that nobody remembers number twos, he hits heads with BIG DREAM$ [note the capitals]. The beat, first of all, is bonkers; it was laid out by UK phenom Menace, who happens to be the producer responsible for the platinum mega-hit, “Panda.” That’s definitely a way to a good impression. The anthemic chorus is one that will definitely get stuck in your head.
