Screws-ton, Texas always has – and continues to have the ability to birth talented and prolific voices within the landscape of hip-hop culture. UGK, DJ Screw, and Beyoncé instantly come to mind. Sidney Wiley, better known as Psycho Sid, who was born and raised in the Third Ward community of Houston is one such (new) voice. He’s worked with some very credible artist, such members Big Pokey and Lil KeKe (of the Screwed Up Click), and Devin The Dude to name a few. A big look for Psycho was recording songs for the legendary Rap A Lot Records’ “Realist Down South Compilation,” which is an opportunity some cats would kill for – maybe literally.
He’s been continually spreading his brand across the nation, and – as of late – has been making headlines, winning national contests at events/festivals like SXSW, the Core24 Retreat and the Coast 2 Coast Music Conference, amongst others. Don’t miss his upcoming album, “Sokul We Be Vol.1,” which you should add to your playlist. Psycho Sid is definitely and artist to keep on your radar.
