“We want our music to not only sound good but also nourish the soul.”

—Josh Levine.

The Faculty is made up of two long time friends, Josh Levine and Jerrett Johnson. Growing up together in a small town in central California these two have been making music together since junior high. They now combine their passion for music which infuses hip hop, rock and roll, and funk into what they have tagged as “Indie Hip Rock;” #IHR.

Josh Levine moved to Los Angeles in 2010 to pursue his dream of music and film making and is now working as a Producer/Director for Time Warner. His work has been recognized regionally by the California Film Awards, CAB Artist Showcase, and is a seven-time Telly Award Winner. He’s filmed for names like Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, The Game, Dilated Peoples, Rob Dyrdek, Carmello Anthony, Nas, Fashawn, Dick Van Dyke, and Gene Simmons just to name a few. Jerrett Johnson resides in Visalia, CA with his family. Father by day and a lyricist by night. JJ brings a soulful funkadelic element to The Faculty. “Music is about touching the soul and making people smile. That is what we are hoping to accomplish,” says Jarrett.
