Texas has long been not only the epicentre of Independent Hip Hop movements, but also a hub for explosive emerging talent. Fort Worth rapper Itz_Gibz is one such artists who is building a respectable size buzz in the state where everything is bigger.
He’s starting his 2018 strong, with the release of his latest record Bon Appetite 2 — the follow-up to the well-received 11-song project Bon Appetite, which dropped on Tidal late last year.
The Hispanic MC, whose flow could easily be described as smooth, tells AAHH the release is “an achievement as these projects take time and dedication to get it just how you want it.”
“Music has always been around me,” he continues. “I did talent shows … I had friends involved in music; I started recording and fell in love with the process of making songs.”

“I have many influences,” he tells us, as the conversation shifts. “My family being one of the biggest — but, musically some of the rappers that influenced me would be Chamillionaire, TI, Eminem, and Nelly.”
“I don’t really care too much about being mainstream,” he confesses when discussing his goals and upcoming focus for 2018. “I just want to give my supporters the Itz_Gibz they love to hear, and support me and mines while doing so.
“I’m dropping more visuals, Expanding the brands, and growing — not only as a man, but as an Artist.”
