Here are some dope Adidas collaborations to cop this holiday season:
Jam Master Jay Tribute – Superstar
It’s been 13 years since hip hop lost Jam Master Jay but, Adidas is paying tribute to the late DJ once again with the forthcoming release of its “Superstar” sneaker. Following a Pro Model made in his honor featuring Jay with a Trefoil on the heel tab; Adidas is having another exclusive release. On this sneaker, his name appears on the tongue and the heel while a record player with his signature hat also finds placement at the tongue. The special edition Superstar is scheduled for release on Jan. 21, 2016, which is also his 51st birthday.
A$AP Yams Tribute
Long live A$AP Yams! A$AP Ferg has joined forces with Adidas to create a special tribute collection to honor the A$AP Mob creator. The collection dubbed, Trap Lord Adi-Ease Collection, with Adidas Skateboarding, features new long and short-sleeve tees as well as sneakers. The Adi-Ease sneaker comes in two colors (black and tan), being predominantly done up in suede. Signature Traplord accents have been implemented throughout the low-tops that feature satin lining and come equipped with printed laces. Ferg’s Hood Pope graphic is also present, alongside a painting of Yams on the sock liner. You can expect to see this collection on December 5th.
It’s pretty obvious that Kanye is great at anything that he does. West’s first two sneaker collaborations with Adidas have ranked two and three among the most collectible sneakers. The Yeezy Boost 350 has been seen in black, white and gray. West’s first Adidas sneaker, the Yeezy Boost 750, ranks No. 2. This April, Ye previewed two unreleased versions of the high-top, Yeezy Boost 750s in black and burgundy. The previously released version is high top with a sandy, nude colorway. Retail prices range roughly between $200 and $600, and the sneakers sold out online in a matter of minutes and created chaos in major retailers in Europe and the U.S.
