A federal agent testified that Lil Durk was warned about search warrants before prosecutors say the rapper arranged travel out of the country.
Agent Burke testified that roughly six search warrants were executed at 6 a.m. on Nov. 24, 2024. More than an hour later, according to the courtroom account, a flight from Fort Lauderdale to Zurich was booked before continuing to Dubai.
Prosecutors presented the travel arrangements as evidence that Durk, whose legal name is Durk Banks, anticipated law-enforcement action. Banks is accused of orchestrating a plot connected to the 2022 shooting of Quando Rondo’s cousin in Los Angeles. He has pleaded not guilty.
The defense disputes the prosecution’s interpretation of the travel. His lawyers have argued that he was in Miami for music work, including a planned connection to producer and executive DJ Khaled, rather than attempting to flee.
The testimony is part of the prosecution’s broader case, which also includes cooperating witnesses, surveillance footage, text messages and other evidence. The allegations remain allegations unless proved in court.
