Ras G Raw Fruit Vol. 7 and 8 Gets Limited Vinyl Release

Ras G’s Raw Fruit series continues with Raw Fruit Vol. 7 & 8, a new 29-track instrumental collection being issued through Ghetto Sci-Fi Music.

Ras G was a cornerstone of Los Angeles’ beat scene and a co-founder of Poo-Bah Records, building a catalog that stretched across Brainfeeder, Stones Throw, Fat Beats and his own Ghetto Sci-Fi universe. His production fused dusty drums, cosmic electronics and deeply swung SP-driven loops into a sound that remained unmistakably his.

The new volume continues a beat-tape series Ras G began during his lifetime. The physical edition is set for Nov. 13, with Fat Beats offering a Yellowjacket Fleck Splatter 2LP limited to 250 copies alongside a cassette edition.
