Drake’s ICEMAN has extended its run at No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, giving him his longest-leading album on the chart.
Released through OVO Sound and Republic Records, ICEMAN earned 41,000 equivalent album units in the United States during the Aug. 21–27 tracking week, according to Luminate. Billboard reported that the album remained 10,000 units ahead of Michael Jackson’s Thriller, which ranked No. 2 with 31,000 units.
The new mark gives ICEMAN the longest No. 1 run of Drake’s 17 chart-topping albums on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The chart’s methodology changed in February 2017, moving from a sales-only system to one based on equivalent album units that combine album sales, streaming activity and track-equivalent sales.
ICEMAN is also Drake’s record-tying 17th No. 1 on the chart. Billboard reported that the total matches the Temptations’ record; Future has also reached 17 No. 1 albums.
The project includes “What Did I Miss?” and “Janice STFU,” which Billboard identifies as Drake’s 31st and 32nd No. 1s on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. “Janice STFU” spent seven weeks at No. 1, while “What Did I Miss?” also reached the top of the chart.

Elsewhere, ICEMAN remains No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Rap Albums chart and sits at No. 9 on the Billboard 200.
