Cam’ron has responded to NBA guard Anthony Edwards’ recent Adidas commercial, which included a clear jab at him.
The commercial, released on May 31, features Edwards practicing his basketball moves while a receipt machine prints out comments people have made about him. One of the comments reads: “Cam’ron said, ‘To me, he’s an All-Star, but not a superstar, yet,'” to which Edwards responds with a succinct “Fuck, buddy.”
Cam’ron shared the commercial on his Instagram profile, captioning it with a mix of humor and defiance. He wrote: ” #Fuckbuddy [two laughing emojis, three fire emojis] commercial!! Thx @adidas for the love. And I had [Antman’s] back this whole time but I’ll address this Monday on the show.. love the attitude tho. Only thing I would say is get a better looking lesbian to read the receipts.”
Cam’ron has had a successful year in sports media, particularly with his podcast It Is What It Is. In a recent discussion at Black Enterprise’s 2024 Disruptor Summit, he reflected on how the show started and its growth. He mentioned that he initially spent $127,000 on the show but eventually secured a $20 million deal after 35 episodes.
