Toronto Rapper Princely Preps Release Of New Single & Video “Oprah”

Hailing from the 6, Princely — currently signed with WavyHouse Records — has been grabbing the attention of fans and critics in his city and abroad. “My sound is unique,” he tells AAHH. “I’m always doing something different with each song … I use rapping and singing to stand out from other artists with dope bars and wavy melodies.”

He began playing guitar in his teens, later transitioning into writing and recording Hip-Hop; he connected with WavyHouse after High School and has been honing his sound ever since. “My mother has always been a great singer, and I have an older cousin who used to rap, so music has always been in my family,” he says. “I feel like that helped me become a musician.”

His first official single, “Chase A Bag,” has been doing impressive numbers. Over the Benihana Boys produced soundscape, he uses his distinctive cadence to deliver some solid wordplay. He also has some other dope loosies catching some serious plays.

These are just appetizers to his upcoming single, “Oprah.”

“I’m working on a video for the next single, which should be out on all platforms early September,” he says. “It is a unique song you won’t forget.”

With goals of charting on Billboard and pushing his indie label into the forefront of the industry, Princely has a lot on his shoulders — and a city swimming with talented sharks going for the crown — but he’s more than up to the challenge. Check out some of his tracks, below. And be sure to keep up with him via Twitter.
