Murda Mook recently appeared on the Uppercut Podcast, where he expressed frustration with Joe Budden for making light of his recent arrest. Budden had joked about the size of Mook’s apartment, which Mook felt was a personal attack that showed a “special kind of hate.”

The incident that led to Mook’s arrest occurred in February, when NYPD officers came to his residence to investigate an accusation that he scratched his daughter’s arm. Mook documented the incident on Instagram Live.

Mook criticized Budden for not checking in on him after the arrest, instead focusing on making jokes about his living situation. “Joe is a bozo,” Mook said. “I thought me and Joe were all right. I didn’t know it was like that. He didn’t call to check if I was alive or not. It’s crazy that someone would worry about how you’re living and not worry about if you’re living. Think about that. That’s wild.”

Mook also took issue with Budden’s failure to address allegations against Diddy sooner. “That’s a special kind of hate,” Mook added. “You’re watching something happen that we stand up and march for. Police kill people all the time. We saw things going wrong, and as a Black man, you’re supposed to be concerned about the person, especially if you thought you were cool. You can roast them later. Find out if the person is breathing first. That’s how real people do it. But that separates who is who and where we’re from.”

Budden had previously joked about Mook’s apartment, calling it a “box” and advising him to move.
